This collection of images for me was really an exploration on remembrance. Some people have elaborate statues and benches and monuments while others just a number. The prospect of having an entire life and having it all being forgotten at death because no one knew who you were, no one can properly remember you. Its an odd concept that I still struggle to grasp. Walking through the site of the C.S.A burial ground and seeing all the graves with just numbers on them made me wonder so much about who or what was actually buried underneath those numbers...
